Pastor Buddy Waldron

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church has been on this hill for more than 130 years.  Throughout the years, we have sought to help meet the spiritual needs of the surrounding community.  The ways of the people may have changed, as well as ministry methods, but we still hold the teachings of the Bible in high priority.

Our members are kind and friendly, and share a deep desire to help any and all people find their way to a living relationship with Jesus.  We depend upon each other for encouragement in our daily walk with God.  We invite you to attend a Sunday morning worship service and decide for yourself if what I say is true.

Pleasant Hill is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and the local Western Baptist Association.  While we believe strongly in the efforts of our involvement with each of these three groups, we also believe it is our privilege and responsibility to minister to our community.

We believe in the church.  Jesus bought her when He shed His own blood upon the cross over 2000 years ago.  All of us are guilty of sin, and the wages of that sin is death; however, we believe that by God's grace, through our faith that Jesus is the Son of God, we can be saved from that penalty of death.  We invite you or anyone else to believe as well.

Our desire and hope would be that through our own efforts, or by your personal invitation, we could come alongside you to help, encourage, and be your friend.  I would add that our most important goal is not to build a large congregation, we would rather build relationships that would someday bring us together.

We would love to meet you personally, so join us at The Hill as we strive to reach our community with the love of God!
